Also includes notes and copies of correspondence from secretaries Jo Sturdee ("N S") [later Lady Onslow], Chips Gemmell, and Jane Portal [later Lady Williams of Elvel].

Subjects include: aircraft carriers; anti-submarine warfare, including details of the Lockheed Neptune "sub-killer"; amphibious landings.
